Named after the Spanish explorer (who, according to legend, 'discovered' it during his explorations in the New World) the 104 foot DeSoto Falls is a welcome change of scenery. The falls start at the dam which provides a place to play and swim then it begins its journey over the dam onto the rocks and works its way down to the enormous bowl canyon it has carved out.
