It stand in front of a shipyard Southwest of the marina Alpenquai in Luzern.

The wheel has a diameter of 3.5 meters. It was built in 1894 and used on the steamer Pilatus. When it was decommissioned in 1969, it had run a distance of almost 2 million kilometers. (Thanks to harupapa)
