The pump is approximately 2 metres high and is made of cast iron decorated white. Raised lettering cast on N side of chamber reads "ERECTED BY SUBSCRIPTION APRIL 1880".
The pump consists of a wide cylindrical barrel with 2 raised rings and large spurred spout at the upper ring. There is a moulded corbelled expansion to the chamber with a straight moulded spout. The moulded top flange carries a tall foliate cap with pineapple finial. A dog-leg wrought iron handle pivots on the South face of the chamber and tapers to large pear-shaped counterweight knob.
