The station is located north of the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. There are two identical stamps in different buildings at Phantom Ranch. One is located in the Phantom Ranch Canteen and the other is in the Phantom Ranch Ranger Station. The station can be accessed by a strenuous hike or mule ride from either the South or the North Rim (minimum 7 miles one way, depending on the trail) or a river rafting boat ride.

Coordinates are for the Ranger Station. The Canteen is a few hundred feet north.
