The box is fixed to the wall of the ivy covered old school building in School Lane, Great Wigborough, Essex. It is not on themain road through the village but up a very narrow side lane.

Is this post box still in use?: Yes, daily at 4.45pm, Saturdays, 10.15am.
Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: VR embossed.
Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Some, very difficult to interpret. Best interpretation is W T Allen & Co, London
