This memorial is the latest state Vietnam War memorial to be erected, dedicated this past May, 2009. The main memorial is a 125 foot long polished black granite wall containing the names of the 3,095 Ohio men and women who lost their lives in the war. In front of this wall is a statue dedicated to Gold Star mothers. The figure of a grieving mother holds a folded flag as she looks upon the wall.
