The Townsend Ranger Station is a great place to stop if you're planning on doing any hiking, snowmobiling or other outdoor activity in the area. It doesn't hurt to stop in at one of the local restaurants for a hot meal before heading out into the Forest - the Rangers can give you their recommendation!
