The depot was built in 1915. It's known as the "finest known expression of Craftsman-style railroad architecture in California" (according to the NRHP) The depot is owned by the Sierra Railroad, who runs the Skunk Train. The depot is the Easter terminus to the scenic railway. The depot is currently under renovations.
