This large boulder has a historical plaque marking the entrance to Stretton-on-Dunsmore's playing field.

The boulder is in the grass at the front of the small car parking area. The plaque reads as follows:

'This playing field was given to the people of Stretton on Dunsmore by Robert Campion in memory of his wife Alice, in 1935, and was opened on 12th May 1937. Erected in Jubilee year 1977.'

We know one of the three guys who collected the boulder and positioned it here.
