ALDOT was formerly known as the Alabama State Highway Department, which is used on the disk as "A.S.H.D." This marker is set in the top of a concrete post about 8 inches above ground, at the corner of a chain link fence on the border between Interstate 65 and a commercial office building in Homewood.
