A white stone cross atop a square column of approximately 10 feet of height. The square column has chamfered corners. The sword of sacrifice is carved on the front face at the top with a ship beneath. An octagonal plinth of two steps has the names of the soldiers who fought in the first war. A tablet has been added with the names from the second war.
The front face bears the inscription
AD TE DOMINE.
IN MEMORIAM
OFFICERS AND MEN OF TEWIN
WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR
1914-1918
The back face has the inscription
THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE.
The designer of the memorial was Sir Herbert Barker, known for his work in Delhi and for India House London, and the architect was Mr Thomas Dinham Atkinson.
