Located in the middle of nowhere, this restored crib dam was rebuilt with artistic precision. Once the site of an old mill, the crossroads of Green river is well worth the side trip if only to see the dam, covered bridge located right beside, or the old church on the hill. It's the perfect spot for a picnic, or rest stop.
To get there from interstate 91 at Brattleboro Vt, take exit #1 to US route 5. Head south east following signs to Guilford (1.4 mi). Turn right on Guilford center rd until Stage rd (4.7 mi). Turn right on Stage rd and follow for 2.5 mi.
