Lakeside is a private Chautauqua community on the Marblehead peninsula in northern Ohio. It was founded in 1873 by the Methodist Church, and it still remains a church-affiliated vacation resort. Lakeside is one of only a handful of continuously operating Independent Chautauquas that remain in the 21st century.
