This capsule is located on the Court house grounds, in Jerseyville, Illinois. It is the Sesquicentennial Capsule, that was places November 10, 1989, that will be opened by in the year 2014. It was placed by the Jerseyville Bicentennial Committee. It is next to another time capsule that is only a few feet away. They are to be opened at different times. One capsule, every 25 years and the other at the 100 year mark.
One capsule was placed by the Tri-Centennial Committee, and the second capsule, I’m not sure who put it there.
