It is located on the side of the building highly visible from the road. It reads 'Eldridge Pope & Co. Ltd Dorchester Ales'. There is an intersting article here (

In 1996 the brewery ceased to be the main concern as the family became a pub retailer. This resulted in loss of money, the end of their pubs and eventually the closure of the brewery itself in 2003. This pub was therefore one of the unsuccessful ventures of this era now owned by a local family and doing well.
