The Missouri Gulch trailhead is reached by driving 14.9 miles north from the stoplight in Buena Vista, Colorado on U.S. Highway 24. Turn west on Chaffee County Road 390 and drive 7.7 miles to the old ghost town of Vicksburg. The trailhead is on the north side of the road and there is ample parking. Vicksburg is on the south side of the road. Hike up a great trail along some switchbacks through the forest to tree line. An old cabin is located at treeline. Continue to follow the trail southeast up the ridge to the summit.
