Just south of Newmanstown on Pa.St.Rt.419 is the PA.HM. for Fort Zeller which is about 1/2 of a mile north from actual fort on fort zeller road.

FORT ZELLER
The State's oldest existing fort is half a mile to the north.Pioneers who came to the Tulpehocken from the Schoharie valley built it in 1723,rebuilt in 1745.It was used as a place of refuge during the Indian wars.
