This Wat has the full range of Thai Wat facilities: a Buddha statue (unfortunately, not open to the public during my visit), a crematorium, a 'meeting hall', accommodation for the monk, and an admin building. It is entered along a ~50m long path through a forested area, inside the Wat grounds. Very attractive. In the 'forest' are a number of Buddhist artefacts.

While I was there I did not see anyone else on the grounds. The Wat is on the outskirts of this small town. There is another Wat closer to the centre, possibly this is where the 'action' lies?

Overall, there is an 'air' of abandonment about the Wat.

Of interest is that the Wat is immediately adjacent to a Kymer era Prasat. In fact, the Wat derives its name from the Prasat, 'Wat Prasat', while the Prasat derives its name from the town, 'Prasat Sikhoraphum'. There is also a nearby town and district named 'Prasat'. Clear? If you visit one, the other is certainly also worth a visit.
