The construction of the church started in 1705 by a decree by Tsar Peter the Great and according to his handdrawn picture. In 1723 the church was finished and consecrated.
The adjacent belltower was built in 1745.
Interior paintings were destroyed by fire in 1986, currently they are being restored.
Sorry, it was hard to find a good view of the church, the trolleybus wires are everywhere.
