It is believed the first church on this site dated from the sixth century. In 1261 the church was rebuilt and dedicated to St Andrew, the nave was then rebuilt in the 15th century and the tower was added in the 16th century. There are 5 bells in the tower the oldest dating from 1684.
This is a very quiet area along a narrow country lane, the old church school stands beside the church.
