This section of Watkins Avenue cuts between Coyote Hill and the Box Springs Mountains in eastern Riverside. This area is home to a wide variety of wildlife. More and more drivers are shifting over to Watkins Avenue to avoid the congestion on the highway. The increase in traffic is taking a toll in the number of wildlife fatalities.
