Mount Bailey and Moun Theilsen are located near Diamond Lake, a short distance from Crater Lake National Park.

Mt Theilsen is also known as "Big Cowhorn" due to the irregular or horn-shaped peak. Both are extinct volcanos and are located in the Mt Theilsen Wilderness (part of the larger Fremont-Winema National Forest), where snow skiing and hiking are favorite activities. Both of these mountains are part of the Oregon High Cascades mountain range, which consists of stratovolcanoes in Oregon that are less than 3.5 million years old.
