Spaghettiville - Lowell, MA - Welcome Signs on Waymarking.com

Lowell was once the location of the Prince Spaghetti factory. After 2 or 3 generations worked here the company was purchased by Borden, Inc.
The factory was closed because it was too expensive to update. Borden then sold the brand name to New World Pasta.

Later, when the boy in the commercial was older, a restaurant in the North End of Boston used him for a commercial, hence the phrase "Hey Anthony, where were you on Wednesday?"
