This elevation mark is located near the west end of the old Basin #2 dam, east of the falls in White River Falls State Park. The elevation mark was set by the U.S. Geological Survey and marked M73. No date on mark.

FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 197 AND STATE HIGHWAY 216 THAT IS AT THE NORTH END OF TYGH VALLEY, GO NORTH AND EAST ON STATE HIGHWAY 216 FOR 3.6 MILES, TURN RIGHT, GO SOUTH FOR ABOUT 0.2 MILE TO THE PACIFIC POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY DAM, AT BASIN NO.2 WHICH IS ABOUT 500 FEET EAST OF THE MAIN DAM, SET IN THE CONCRETE DAM, 12 FEET EAST OF THE WEST END OF THE DAM.
