DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1974 (LHW) THE MACON TELEVISION STATION WCWB MAST (CHANNEL 41) IS LOCATED 7.5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN MACON, 0.1 MILE SOUTHWEST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 23, ON THE BIBB-TWIGGS COUNTY LINE. THE STATION IS THE LIGHT ATOP THE 3-LEGGED, GUYED, SINGLE COLUMN, RED AND WHITE MAST. IT IS 837 FEET HIGH WITH A 56-FOOT POLE TYPE ANTENNA ON TOP, TOTAL HEIGHT OF 893 FEET. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE COURTHOUSE IN MACON, GO EAST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 80 FOR 0.7 MILE TO ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 23. TURN RIGHT AND GO SOUTHERLY ON HIGHWAYS 23 AND 80 FOR 2.7 MILES TO A ROAD LEFT. CONTINUE AHEAD ON HIGHWAY 23 FOR 6 MILES TO A DRIVEWAY ON THE RIGHT ABOUT 50 YARDS BEFORE REACHING THE BIBB-TWIGGS COUNTY LINE. TURN RIGHT AND GO 0.1 MILE TO THE MAST BEHIND THE STATION STUDIO.
