The plaque reads as follows:
'National Welsh-American Foundation
In memory of President Thomas Jefferson and those of Welsh origin who were signatories of the Declaration of Independence.
Unveiled by the Mayor, Cllr Hywel Jones and Mrs Olwen I. Anderson President NWAF 3 July 1993.'

The plaque is slate and lies near the cafe in the museum.
