In 1775, a fort was established into the central Bluegrass region of Kentucky by Daniel Boone and others for the settlers who traveled here along the Wilderness Road.

The goal of many settlers taking the Wilderness Road was this fort and the rich land in central Kentucky.
Fort access hours are April 1st to October 31st 9AM to 5:30PM.
Coordinates were taken at the memorial obelisk in front of the fort.
