Shinagawa Train Station is a very large station on the JR East Yamanote railroad line. This railroad line rings the Tokyo city center, and carries over 3 million passengers a day. These pictures were taken early in the morning before rush hour.

The clock is in the Great Hall ticketing area at the top of the stairs after the main entrance. Like the station, clock looks new and modern; in great contrast, the station was first built back in 1872.
