The Gravity Garden is located on California Highway 1 at the intersection of Fern Canyon Road in Carmel Highlands, CA. It is a sculpture garden made from stacked rocks. In an interview with rock stacker, Jim Needham, he says that he moved to this location so he could exhibit his art better. The Monterey-Salinas Transit bus stops rigt at this corner, as do many tour buses.

There is no fence around Jim's yard. Just walk in and be careful! California is earthquake country, but I don't know if it's ever had any effect on the balanced rocks here. There is a sign greeting people that warns:
Please move carefully through the Gravity Garden. The stones are not secured in any way and may fall at any time. Touching them is not encouraged as this could result in stones falling or an injury to you or a bystander. Standing below a stack can be particularly harmful and I ask you to keep far enough back so as not to be surprised should one fall. Remarkably some stacks will stand several years before moving while others remain for only weeks.

Here are some pictures of the balanced rocks as they appeared when we visited.
