At only 5m above sea level, and running across the middle of the island, the airport is almost a tourist attraction in its own right. There are only a couple of flights in/out each day, and there are always several people lining the length of the 886m runway to watch the planes come in. There are even park benches placed at the sea end of the runway to make life more comfortable for plane spotters!
