DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1961 (SCM) STATION IS LOCATED ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF STATE HIGHWAY NO. 27 ABOUT 17.0 MILES NORTH OF HOMESTEAD AND ABOUT 4.0 MILES SOUTH OF THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY NO. 27 AND U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 41. STATION IS CONSTRUCTED OF REINFORCED CONCRETE ABOUT 170 FEET HIGH AND IS PAINTED WHITE. THE POINT INTERSECTED WAS THE CENTER OF THE STACK.

RECOVERY NOTE BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1962 (CKT) STATION IS A VERY LARGE STACK, MEASURING 24.1 FEET IN DIAMETER AT THE BASE, 18.4 FEET IN DIAMETER AT THE TOP, 250 FEET IN HEIGHT AND IS WHITE IN COLOR. STACK IS CONSTRUCTED OF CONCRETE. STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 18 MILES NORTH OF HOMESTEAD, 0.1 MILE WEST OF STATE HIGHWAY 27, 5 MILES SOUTH OF U.S. HIGHWAY 41 AND IS AT THE NORTHWEST EDGE OF THE CEMENT COMPANY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
