Son numerosísimas en La Pedriza las rocas cuya forma sugiere animales o cosas. De entre ellas, ésta es una de las más famosas. Incluso hay una grieta bajo la "trompa" que recuerda a la boca del elefante. Además, se encuentra cerca de caminos muy frecuentados, entre otros motivos por su proximidad al Yelmo (o Peña del Diezmo), la formación más emblemática de la Pedriza.

There are numerous rocks in La Pedriza whose form suggests animals or things. Among them, this is one of the most famous. There's even a crack in the "trunk" that is reminiscent of the elephant's mouth. It is also very near frequented roads, among other reasons because of its proximity to Yelmo (or Peña del Diezmo), the formation the most emblematic in La Pedriza.
