Cornwell Furnace Park - Cedar Bluff, Alabama - Municipal Parks and Plazas on Waymarking.com

This great park is on the shores of a lake in Eastern Alabama. The main feature of the park is an extremely well preserved iron furnace built by the Confederacy during the Civil War to provide ammunition for the war. One thousand men labored to build this furnace. The park itself is a very nice place, great for picnicking or just walking among the trees or around the old furnace.

The furnace is on the National Register of Historic Places.
