Once known as Ice Caves Mountain, it has reverted to a more historic name since being acquired by the Nature Conservancy.

Note that Google Maps shows a named road up to and beyond this overlook point, but the Conservancy permits only emergency vehicles to use it. Everyone else walks from the Visitor Center*.
