The Commissary is the post storehouse and office for the Post Commissary Officer. It is one of the few buildings with a basement, which by design was to hold perishable foods. The building was large enough to hold 3,000 barrels.

The Quartermaster may have been housed in this building as well. Asside from being responsible for these goods, his duties were for assignment, construction, maintenance and repair of the post's buildings. He also contracted and supervised civilian employees.
