Fine public building, still used. Easy to locate and photograph. Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Morgan City. Lots of fun things to do and see in the area.
I could find NO information on building, except from the Historic District application, located
here. 1. The City Hall, 1905 (Inventory #44), National Register The elaborate twin
Italianate cupolas on this large brick building tower four stories above the street
level making it the tallest building in the district. It is also significant as the historic
social and political focus of the city for most of this century. The second story
features a ballroom which was used for public gatherings.
