Fairvue is the actual location name on the property deed, while Fairview is shown on the front entrance pillar (at given coordinates). Fairvue was built in 1850 by Stokeley Donelson William, a native Tennessean and farmer. The place was recognized Tennessee Century Farms Program due to being an active farm in the same family for at least 100 years. The Civil War Battle of Mossy Creek was also fought on the farmland in 1863.
