Although Minneapolis is more known for its frigid winters, the summers can be hot and humid as well. Wirth Beach was
originally constructed in 1918 and has served the community well during those hot summers with many enhancements over the years.
To meet 21st Century demands, all the facilities at
Wirth Beach were completely overhauled in 2004 & 2005. The beach house has all the modern conveniences washing and concessions. Kids and adults can play at either the playground or volleyball courts if they are done in the water.
