This well was installed in 1999 by Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board near the entrance to the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden. The sign states it is a natural spring, but it clearly is an artesian well.
The water quality is good and tested regularly, but the taste (my opinion, since I prefer filtered municipal water) was a little "mineral-ly," but that may also be a function of the pipes used.
Parking is not permitted along the side of the road, so please use designated parking lots in Theodore Wirth Park or the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden.
