The Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA is like walking into a time portal and being taken back into the year of 1627. The Wompanoag village has several structures and people who will answer questions about life for their native ancestors almost 400 years ago. In the Colonial English village, it is more of a submersion experience, where the actors/employees will demonstrate life as it was for early American settlers six years after the Mayflower landed in Plymouth, complete with accents and lingo of the settlers. There is also a craft area where you can watch pottery, woodworking, Native American crafts and textiles being made adjacent to a gift shop where some of the items can be purchased. They also have an extensive play area for small children inside the main building, two other gift shops and a cafeteria area.

The Mayflower II is also on display 3 miles from the main site. It is a seaworthy vessel that can be toured. This Waymark does not include pictures or coordinates for the Mayflower II.
Theme:
Natural history is on display in the villages, the herbs and crops being grown, and the animals being kept. It is a full working farm where they are planting or harvesting depending on the time of year. Cultural history is also on display through the rich conversation and submersion experience as well as the many exhibits in the main hall and the crafters area.
