Located in McCleod County, Minnesota on US Highway 212, Plato has a population of 319 as of July 2007, a 5% decrease in population since the 2000 census.
Its people are made up of German, Norwegian, Irish, Swedish, and French ancestries.
It is about an hour west of Minneapolis and is a very nice small town with friendly people.
