The Jaffrey Meetinghouse frame was raised on June 17, 1775, the day of the Battle of Bunker Hill. In 1822 the tower and bell were added, and in the early 1900s the clock was installed. The weathervane details include wrought-iron type filigrees, a harp motif, and an 8-pointed star on the sail - possibly representing a compass rose. It appears to have the color and shine of a gold leaf finish.
