This intersection in Wilmington, NC was used in the movie "Loose Cannons" where Dan Aykroyd, Gene Hackman and Dom DeLuise are chasing a black sedan that tried to shoot at them. You first see the black car come screaming around this corner. Then inside the car you see Gene Hackman's character 'Detective MacArthur Stern' is trying to get his new partner 'Ellis Fielding' played by Dan Aykroid to get into his 'crazy mode' and hit the gas so they can catch up to the black sedan that just tried to attack them and ended up blowing up a truck. You then finally see their car come flying around this corner. After this scene the chase ends up leading to the Wilmington Port where the chase goes in and out of warehouses. The same Port used in the movie 'Black Dog' with Patrick Swayze.
