There are several banks of elevators in this building in Dubai.
This is the tallest building in the world and is still growing skywards..
The elevators[lifts] are double decked and hold 21 persons on each deck and will have the world's highest travel distance from lowest to highest stop. and will be the worlds fastest with a speed of 18m/sec 40 mph.
they are also programmed to permit a controlled evacuation for fire or security evacuation.
This building can be seen from almost anywhere in the city, and is a marvel of engineering.

Burj Dubai became the world's tallest high-rise building on July 24, 2007, and the world's tallest self-supporting structure on September 12, 2007. It will also be the first "world's tallest building" ever to have residential space.
When completed, the Burj Dubai will hold all four of the officially recognised records for tallest buildings.
A number of stores have already opened their doors at the base of the Burj Dubai, and it is worth a trip to stand at the base and look up. It is amazing.
