All Saints stands in one of the earliest paved streets in York, hence its unusual name.
The church plays an important roll in the City's civic history, with 34 lord mayors being buried here.
The glass of the huge West window is 14th century, and depicts the passion and resurrection of Christ.
The church is also famous for its 13th century brass door knocker, on the North door, representing the mouth of hell, though the knocker is a replica, the original is on display at York Minster treasury.
