Veterans Memorial Park is located next to the Gonzales Library and the National Guard Armory complex. The Eagle statue is a fine memorial and he entire walk through the grounds is peaceful and well worth a visit. There are also other smaller monuments that are not completed at time of Waymarking. Easy to locate. you cannot miss the sign. The whole area where memorial is, comes alive the last weekend of May, as Gonzales holds the Jambaylaya Festival all along this entire street,
Festival Site.
