The school stands next to the church in the village and has a plaque on the wall stating 'INFANT SCHOOL 1857'. The building is very small and is adjacent to 'The Church House Room'.
The school was a Church School and was used until the 1880s when it was closed and the children were sent to nearby Stanbridge school instead.
