This is a very unique house which sits on its own little hill surrounded on three sides by other houses. From its height on the hill, the house offers a view over its neighbors of Lake Coeur d'Alene.

The house was built for John P. Gray and his wife Stella. John was a Republican and in 1920 he was a delegate from Idaho to the Republican National Convention.

Currently the house is divided into four separate units, each with its own power meter visible at the back of the house.
