W.A.J. and D.E. Ward -- Hampton Cemetery, Edhube, TX - Homemade Tombstones on Waymarking.com

These simple markers are upright stones with crude lettering bearing the names and dates for "Mother" and "Father". The two stones are set side by side. They are situated near the end of the driveway into the cemetery under a group of large, shady trees. Several other members of the Ward family are also buried here.

The mother's stone bears the following inscription:

D.E. Ward
May 5, 1852
Aug 13, 1937

The father's stone is inscribed as follows:
Father
W.A.J.
Ward
June 14, 1859
Oct 6, 1917
