Stevenson-Coe Lumber Co. mural depicts railhead operations of loading logs on trains. It is painted on a silo that was used for burning sawdust. The silo is only about 1/3d the normal height of a working silo.
At the bottom of the mural is a caption:
"In 1910, when the population of Orting was 799,Howard Taft was President. Boy Scouts of America was founded, and Glacier National Park was established, the Stevenson-Coe Lumber Co. began processing lumber headed for China. The concrete structure was the sawdust burning silo that was located on the east end of the lumber mill. (at right on mural.) The Pacific Northwest Railroad track was located where the Foothills Rails to Trails is now located. The mill itself sat where the fire and police stations are now located. Note the Frederick Eldredge Mansion (left of mill) and John Stevenson's favorite white mare. Mural painted by Linda Petchnick in 2008 and dedicated by artist Sam Colorossi."
